Use Tracelyx as an App
Tracelyx runs in your browser, but you can also add it to your home screen or desktop and use it like a regular app — full screen, one tap to open, and no browser bars getting in the way. There is no app-store download and no account: it is the same private, in-browser tools, just in a cleaner window. Here is how to install it on every device.
Why install it
Installing Tracelyx as an app gives you a full-screen canvas. In a normal browser tab, the address bar, bookmarks bar, and toolbars all take up space — which matters when you are editing an image and want as much room as possible. An installed app hides those bars and gives the tool the whole screen.
It is also faster to return to. Instead of opening a browser and typing the address, you tap the Tracelyx icon and you are straight into the tools. Nothing else changes: there is no account to create, no app-store review to wait for, and every image is still processed locally on your own device.
Desktop (Chrome or Edge)
On a computer using Chrome or Edge, look for an install icon at the right end of the address bar, or use the blue "Install" button in the Tracelyx header. Click it and confirm, and Tracelyx opens in its own window — no tabs, no address bar.
After installing, you will find Tracelyx alongside your other apps — in the Chrome apps list, the Start menu, or the Dock — and you can pin it for quick access. To remove it later, open the app's menu and choose Uninstall.
iPhone and iPad
Safari does not show an automatic install button, so you add Tracelyx by hand — but it only takes a moment. Open tracelyx.com in Safari, tap the Share button (the square with an upward arrow), scroll down the menu, and choose "Add to Home Screen." Confirm the name, tap Add, and the Tracelyx icon appears on your home screen.
One thing to note: the Share button sits at the bottom center of the screen on iPhone, and at the top near the address bar on iPad. Launch the new icon and Tracelyx opens full screen with the Safari bars hidden — ideal for working on the canvas.
Android
On Android with Chrome, you will usually see an "Install app" or "Add to Home screen" prompt — or you can open the browser menu (the three dots) and choose "Install app." Confirm, and Tracelyx is added to your app drawer and home screen like any other app.
Your privacy does not change
Installing Tracelyx does not send your images anywhere. The installed app is the same site in a dedicated window: every tool still processes your photos entirely in the browser, on your own device, with no uploads and no account. You simply get a cleaner, full-screen way to use it.
